MOSSER GLASS COMPANY
Orie Mosser
was the plant manager of the Cambridge Glass Company. His son, Thomas, began working there as a teenager. When Cambridge Glass closed in 1954, Tom decided to build a glass making company of his own.
He spent five years buying glass moulds, searching for affordable used equipment and saving money. In 1959, he was finally able to begin manufacturing glassware in an abandoned chicken coop, and in two years formed Variety Glass, producing glassware for the pharmaceutical industry.
In 1971, he established Mosser Glass with a product line that blends new designs and timeless classics, acquired from Viking, L.G. Wright and of course, Cambridge Glass, with custom orders from Collector Clubs.
Today, Mosser Glass employs more than 30 people in an efficient manufacturing process configured to provide the highest quality glassware.

Art Glass
runs the gamut from tiny Boyd animal figurines to the massive works of Dale Chihuly. The term Art Glass generally applies to glassware that was originally created solely for the purpose of decoration with no other practical use; like Chihuly's masterworks. But it is also a catch-all term used more broadly to describe glassware that does not fit into established Art Glass categories like Carnival, Stretch, Satin, etc., and is often referred to as Bohemian (whether from Europe or not).
Excellent Undamaged Hand-made Contemporary Condition
means that while a
listed
item has no post-production damage such as chips or cracks,
you may still find minor production issues inherent in the production, shaping and cooling of glass such as:
Air bubbles
in the glass.
Heat checks
which are internal rifts filled with air (which is why you can see them), usually from a burst air bubble.
Inclusions
in or on the surface of the glass, such as ash and cinders.
Strands
of undissolved colorant (usually in green glass).
Straw marks
which are lines
in the glass caused by premature solidification where the molten glass was
snipped from the gathering rod with cool metal shears.
Tool marks
from implements used to form and shape the glass.
Combined Shipping
is offered for both domestic and international shipments.
