    Description

Ford GT Press Kit Ford GT40 2002 N.A.I.A.S. Press Preview Extremely Rare!!!! Includes the GT40 Knock-off styled paper weight in a velvet bag.
This press kit was issued to automotive journalists that attended to debut of the Ford GT40 Concept inside Cobo Arena at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, January 2002. This shows the name as GT40, which Ford secured a temporary right to use from Safir Spares, LTD. When Ford implemented plans to bring this concept into production for the 2004 thru 2006 model years, they attempted to negotiate with Safir a longer term license to use the GT40 name. Rumors at the time suggested Safir required ,000,000 in exchange for a multi-year license, to which Ford supposedly refused. Hence, Ford reverted to the actual name of the original 1964 Prototype LeMans race car, the Ford GT. This gave us the “Ford GT” of 2005-2006!
What makes this press kit so unique is that it is THE ONLY 100% COMPLETE Press Kit on the market today and includes:
