There were only 100 minted, however many were taken by the FBI so the number of rounds remaining may be even lower!  This one is counterstamped with the serial number (#26)
Norfed (
National Organization for the Repeal of the Federal Reserve Act and the Internal Revenue Code)
was an organization that believed in the gold and silver standard in currency. Numerous silver and a handful of gold pieces were minted, but this is one of the only platinum piece they ever made.  Gold rounds can still be found on the market today, but you won't see another one like this for awhile!
If you haven't heard the story about the Norfed Dollars, here's an announcement they made on November 15th, 2007:
Dear Liberty Dollar Supporters: I sincerely regret to inform you that about 8:00 this morning a dozen FBI and Secret Service agents raided the Liberty Dollar office in Evansville. For approximately six hours they took all the gold, all the silver, all the platinum and almost two tons of Ron Paul Dollars that where just delivered last Friday...
